Arcadia Art Space Artist in Residency Program resides within a larger multidisciplinary creative complex, called The Midway, that houses music, performing arts, emerging technologies, and cooking, all with an aspect of education and public engagement.

Arcadia Artspace serves as a catalyst for artists to build a community and engage with the public. Our mission is to foster long-lasting relationships among artists, integral arts institutions and the public to enable artists to make important steps in their career and to create a space for the public to actively engage with emerging and mid-career artists and their processes. At Arcadia our focus is not just on medium or technique, it is on cultivating a community that nurtures artistic expression and exploration.

OVERVIEW
Location: Dogpatch, San Francisco, CA; urban
Eligibility: emerging-to-established artists in all artistic disciplines with the ability to teach workshops and no specialty equipment needed.
Length & Number of Residencies: Residencies last 6 months (July through end of November), with 9 resident artists at a time
What’s Provided: -Studio space at no cost, in exchange for contribution of two artist-hosted workshops per month. (Studio spaces are 9’x10′ with natural light)
-Sink Room
-Large communal workroom/ space to host teaching workshops.
-Professional development programs for resident artists
-Experience in curation, installation, teaching, public speaking and exhibition.
