Today, there are just a few hours left to check out the first annual West Coast Craft fair taking place until 6pm in Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion. Created by Paulina Nassar and Nick Sarno, owners of San Francisco’s Press: Works on Paper store in the city’s Mission district, the fair exemplifies the best among craft and design along the West Coast, as well as the unique aesthetic of the region. Including over 150 participating artists and crafts-peoples’ beautifully designed handmade jewelry, tapestry and printed fabrics, ceramics, furniture and home goods, artworks from letterpress prints and cards to fine art, and clothes and bags, West Coast Craft looks to become in future years an important indicator of the status quo of the handmade movement, as well as the growing diversity within the community along the Pacific.
