San Francisco Arts Commission Galleries’ Passport event, where participants create their own art book by collecting stamps in a customized limited edition “passport” journal from local artists stationed in small businesses along a designated route in a San Francisco neighborhood, took place this year in the Latino Cultural District of 24th street from York to Capp St.  Visitors picked up their passports and map at “Home Base,” 24th Street Mini Park at 24th and York on Sunday, October 26 and began a trip that introduced them to 16 artists, their remarkable stamped artwork (a majority of which covered two sheets of the passport this year), and unique local business ranging from galleries to bakeries.

Participating artists and businesses included Jessica Hisch & Erik Marinovich at home base; Juana Alicia at Brava Theater; Victor de la Rosa at Galeria de la Raza; Fred Alvarado at Precita Eyes Mural Arts & Visitor Center; Val Britton at Mission Skateboards; Enrique Chagoya at El Tecolote/Accion Latina; Kara Maria at Luz de Luna; Ranu Mukherjee at Foxglove; Sirron Norris at Wise Sons Deli; Kelly Ording at Diju Jewelry; Jessica Sabogal at Modern Times Bookstore Collective; Alice Shaw at La Victoria Bakery; Brian Singer at Explorist International; Chris Sollars at Pig & Pie; Ruby Neri at Adobe Books & Arts Cooperative; and Imin Yeh at Sugarlump Café.
